Contemporary works in a variety of media including painting, ceramics, graphic design, sculpture, digital art, photography, metalsmithing, and drawing will be shown from both new and returning faculty. This exhibition allows Parkland students to see the work of faculty in the Art and Design and Graphic Design departments and also showcases faculty work to the community.

Join us Tuesday, February 2, from 6 to 7 pm as Paula McCarty discusses her artwork, including her paintings on canvas, digital paintings, and her Women Who Painted Project. Paula McCarty has taught Painting I and II at Parkland 好色先生tv. She currently is the art exhibitions curator and designer for the Springer Cultural Center in Champaign and teaches painting classes through Parkland Community Education and the Champaign Park District. She exhibits her artwork locally and nationally and maintains a painting practice out of her home studio. Denise Seif

Join us Wednesday, February 10, from 11 am 鈥� 12 pm as Denise Seif will discuss enameling from past to present. The simple combination of metal, glass, and fire can produce some of the most seductive, delicate, and bold statements of personal adornment and decorative objects. This technique, known as enameling, has been seen in Sutton Hoo's Treasures, Medieval reliquaries, Faberge eggs, and American artist Louis Tiffany. After providing a brief historical overview, we will explore what some contemporary artists are doing with this fascinating medium. Denise Seif teaches Metals and Jewelry Design, Art History I and II, and the History on Non-Western Art. Join us on Tuesday, February 23, from 6 to 7 pm as Liza Wynette discusses the History of Music Poster Design. In her lecture, Wynette will examine how culture and technology influenced the look of music posters from Art Nouveau to Contemporary times. Liza Wynette teaches History of Graphic Design at Parkland 好色先生tv and Ceramic Arts at the Champaign Park District. She also works as an independent designer/illustrator. Kelly White

Join us Tuesday, March 4, from 6 to 7 pm as Kelly White discusses her artwork, including her oil on canvas paintings inspired by her love of art history and a trip to Europe to see many of the works she studied in person. Most people recognize Kelly White as the Director of 40 North, Champaign County Arts Council, but she is also a practicing artist. She has taught Art History at Parkland 好色先生tv and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at the University of Illinois.
