PROGRAM EARNS NATIONAL HONOR
Parkland ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉútv earned the annual Merit Award from the National ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉútv of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). Parkland's Surgical Technology program received the award for achieving a 100 percent graduate pass rate on the national certification exam for surgical technologists during the 2020-2021 academic year. The CST exam is the only fully accredited examination by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies for surgical technologists in the nation.

Train to become a surgical technologist, providing crucial assistance to surgeonsÌýwho care for patients before, during, and immediately after surgery. You will become knowledgeable in anatomy, microbiology, and pathophysiology, learning to "think like a surgeon." You'll complete rotations in surgical specialty areas as you study in up-to-date labs, classrooms, and area clinics/hospitals.Ìý
