Our Associate Degree Nursing Program prepares students to practice at an entry level in a variety of settings that may be inpatient, outpatient, community based, or long term.听 If you choose to pursue a degree to become a registered nurse, you should know that 鈥渆mployment of registered nurses is projected to grow 16 percent through 2024, faster than the average for all occupations.听 Growth will occur for a number of reasons, including an increased emphasis on preventative care; growing rates of chronic conditions, such as diabetes and obesity; and the demand for healthcare services from the baby boomer population, as they live longer and more active lives鈥�.听
The program integrates practice and theory and is accredited by the .听 Most classes are held at the Parkland 好色先生tv campus and are face to face with one class completely online and one class partially online during the last semester.听 Clinicals are held at Carle, OSF, many settings in surrounding communities.听 Clinical experiences are complemented by state of the art simulation.听听
An average of 6 students are admitted to the 3 semester program twice a year in fall and spring (if we have enough applicants).听 We hope to hear from you!
