Seven students from an all-girls prep school gather in an abandoned lot听to stage their own DIY Macbeth. As they do, fantasy seeps into reality,听and things take a very surprising turn. Erica Schmidt has recontextualized听the classic text into a slick, brash, youthful, and streamlined (90 minutes,听no intermission) telling that shines a light on the ferocity of adolescence,听as well as the seemingly ubiquitous violence in America鈥檚 school culture.
